KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party’s Sharjeel Memon on Saturday said he accepted every decision of the party but would continue to maintain cordial ties with Zulfikar Mirza, APNANews reported.
Speaking media representatives at the airport in Karachi, he said he himself had offered to resign and that there was no pressure on him from the party’s end.
The ministry belongs to the PPP and the party can take it back whenever it thinks fit, Memon said.
He further said that his visit to London was of a personal nature but several misconceptions had mushroomed over it. The party had to face the consequences, he said, adding that that was what led him to resign from the ministry.
He said he never wanted to create misunderstandings between the PPP and its coalition partners and stressed that cordial relations between him and Zulfikar Mirza would continue in the future.
