Justice in Numaish incident would soon be served: Manzoor Wasan

KARACHI: Fifty-one suspects have been detained for suspected involvement in disrupting peace and firing at the Numaish Chowrangi on Sunday, Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wasan said on Monday. Speaking to media representatives, Wasan said cases had been registered against the arrested individuals and interrogation was ongoing. He assured that the authorities would protect the city against “terrorists’ designs”. Wasan further said that police personnel involved in abandoning an injured journalist on a footpath would also be investigated. Six blasts at three places damage rail tracks

HYDERABAD, Nov 27: Six blasts caused by highly explosive devices destroyed rail tracks at three places in Sindh on Sunday, halting rail traffic for a few hours. Two blasts on the up and down country tracks took place near Sehrish Nagar railway crossing in Hussainabad early in the morning. Pamphlets found near the blast sites carried the name of little-known Sindhu Desh Liberation Army (SDLA) and rejected ‘anti-Sindh projects’, including Zulfikarabad. There was no report of any casualty and no arrests have been made. According to railways chief controller’s office in Karachi, no train movement was scheduled at that time.
